Introduction

Introduced Post War - Wolseley 4/50 is the smaller 4-cylinder version of the bigger 6/80, with shorter wheelbase and single SU carburettor.

However, the Wolseley 4/50 did not sell particularly well, probably because it was only £60 cheaper than the far more powerful 6/80. Sales only achieved less than 64% of those of the 6/80.

Series II engine 4/50s are particularly rare, as they were introduced just prior to the 4/50 being replaced by the Palmer-designed Wolseley 4/44.
