Fantastic weekend at WOCFEST 2 – very hot and sunny. 70 cars – 66 Wolseleys and 4 other great classics on The Wolseley Owners Club stand over the weekend.
Over 120 members, families and friends attended. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and to the team that worked so hard, tirelessly all weekend, to make it the success that is was. A personal thank you to Harris Mann, Club Patron who was with us all weekend and a very big thank you to Stuart Holmes, Exhibits Organiser, Cheshire Auto Promotions and his team at Tatton park. Thank you to Eccles Borough Band for playing for the club on Saturday and on Sunday at Tatton – they were brilliant.
The club was delighted to receive seven awards from the CAP team, including: ‘Best Club Stand’ (1st Place) out of 87 car clubs attending, plus 6 members also received great awards: ‘Rarest Wolseley’ (3rd) – Mike Lower (1965 6/110); ‘Best Wolseley in Show’, (3rd) Tony Stanley (1969 16/60) and (2nd) Andrew & Angela Watson (1934 Eustace Watkins bodied, Wolseley Hornet Special), in addition, the judges awarded not one but three 1st places for: Steve Darnell (1938 Series III 25hp), Bob & Grace Williams (1972 18/85 ADO17) and Ken & Sandra Gunter (1964 6/110). Congratulations to you all!
